Red-fleshed jackfruit

Red-fleshed Jackfruit has an eye-catching color and a unique delicious aroma compared to other jackfruit varieties.

When the fruit is ripe, the flesh is bright orange-red like a carrot, the bulbs are thick and firm, and the taste is very sweet with a vanilla-like fragrance. The riper the fruit, the sweeter it tastes, and the redder it becomes.

The tree produces fruit 18 months after planting, with large and uniformly-sized fruit of consistent quality over the years.

This is a new hybrid variety of Nghe Jackfruit discovered and bred by a farmer in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam.

The outstanding advantage of this variety is that after nearly 18 months, the tree produces 2-4 fairly large fruit with big bulbs, thick flesh, slightly sweet and sour taste, and a stimulating sensation for the consumer.

Another outstanding advantage of this variety is that the fruit can be cut and eaten 7-10 days after harvesting, which makes it convenient for storage and transportation.

It is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing.
